Fishing

Neso Lake offers fabulous northern pike fishing. It has wild rice growing in some shallow bays where the large pike like to spawn in the spring. Walleye are not as numerous here, but they can be found. There is no fear of becoming windbound on this 3 mile long lake, as camp is never far away.

Although Neso Lake Adventures is accessed by a 1/4 mile driveway off of the paved Highway #10, you'll soon forget all that as you enjoy the peace and quiet, because we are the only ones on the lake. Travel down the road three miles to the waters of Lake Athapapuskow, renowned for its abundance of lake trout. Day trips to many other local lakes are within ten minutes of your doorstep. All pike 30" and over and walleye 22" and over must be released.

Duck Hunting

Try a combination of fishing and duck hunting in the fall. Nearly 75 acres of wild rice dominate the southwest bay of Neso Lake, bringing in more than a few ducks, crowding the waters to within yards of the cabins by early September.

No need to go far for excellent hunting

A channel through the rice along the shore extends about 400 yards, giving entry to the open water beyond. The minnows swim in the tens of thousands amongst the wild rice plants. Excellent hunting exists within 5 minutes of your doorstep, especially the mallard ducks.
